I am Rebecca Smith. I am married to possibly the most incredible man in the world. We have 3 totally fun kids and are adopting a baby boy from Kyrgyzstan. So that would ramp us up to 4 rockin kids. My husband is a civil engineer with a servants hearts. We have quite a journey ahead of us. It is our hope that in Jan of 2010 we are able to move to the middle east with a team of people who want to use their engineering skills to serve the poor.
The purpose of this blog is to keep our dear friends and family up to date on what is going on in our lives. However, I do have the tendency to share what God is teaching us and at times I offer my opinion on various issues. Feel free to skip those parts if you wish. 
My goals in life are fairly simply. 1. I aspire to be a woman who loves my husband fiercely and empowers him to be the man God has called him to be. 2. I hope to raise my children with the understanding that they are created for the purpose of glorifying God and to encourage them to have hearts to love others as Jesus does. 3. I desire to see the lives of those around me transformed by the incredible grace of Jesus Christ. I know that I can do none of these on my own. But learning to trust in Christ is an amazing way to live.
